CliqDesk vs Zendesk

Zendesk sells three plans you can buy online, all priced per agent. CliqDesk is one flat fee whatever the size of your team. The difference that matters most is not the price, though — it is which plan lets your customers see their own tickets.

What each one costs

Every figure below is a monthly price with no annual commitment, on both sides, so neither is shown on terms the other is not. The last row is the one worth reading twice.

Agents Support Team $25/agent Suite Team $69/agent Suite Professional $149/agent CliqDesk
4 $100$276$596 $29
10 $250$690$1,490 $29

On annual billing Zendesk charges, per agent per month, $19 on Support Team, $55 on Suite Team and $115 on Suite Professional. CliqDesk is $290 a year for the whole team, still with unlimited agents. Zendesk also sells Suite Enterprise + Copilot, priced on application. Zendesk's own pricing FAQ lists usage-based features and optional add-ons as billed in addition to the plan.

What actually differs

Four things a support team does every day. Zendesk does a great deal more than this, and the section after it says what.

Customers tracking their own tickets

Zendesk
Zendesk lists "Customer portal" as a Suite Professional feature. Their plan comparison marks it unavailable on Support Team and Suite Team. Customers on those plans still get email notifications, so they are not left in the dark — they just have nowhere to sign in and look.
CliqDesk
Every plan. A requestor signs in to your branded portal and sees their own tickets and the replies on them, and nothing else.

This is the whole of what CliqDesk does. On Zendesk it starts at Suite Professional.

Request forms

Zendesk
Support Team has no contact form at all. Suite Team has one. Multiple ticket forms and conditional ticket fields are both listed as Suite Professional features.
CliqDesk
Unlimited desks, each with its own fields, on every plan. A requestor answers them before the ticket exists, so your team gets what it needs up front rather than asking for it afterwards.

Both have forms. Having a different one per request type is where the plans diverge.

Email replies

Zendesk
Every Zendesk plan takes email on unlimited addresses, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentication.
CliqDesk
The same, in both directions. A customer replies to the notification and it lands on the ticket. An agent comments on the ClickUp task and the customer gets it as email. Neither has to log in to answer.

A tie. Zendesk has done this well for twenty years and does it on every plan.

Where your team works

Zendesk
Zendesk’s agent workspace is its own tool. Adopting it means moving your team’s daily work into it.
CliqDesk
The ticket is a ClickUp task. Your team works it in ClickUp, alongside everything else they already track.

Not a feature comparison. It is a question of where your team already is.

What Zendesk does better

Zendesk is a much larger product than CliqDesk, and there are things it does that we have no answer to at all:

  • Voice, with call routing, IVR and call recording
  • Live chat and messaging across web, mobile and social channels
  • AI agents that resolve conversations without a person
  • A marketplace of more than 1,800 apps and integrations

If you need a phone system and a live chat widget as well as a ticket queue, buy Zendesk. CliqDesk does one job.

Which one you want

Go with Zendesk if

  • You need voice, live chat or social channels. We have none of them.
  • You want one vendor across every way a customer might contact you.
  • Your team is not on ClickUp, and moving them is not on the table.

Come to CliqDesk if

  • Your team already works in ClickUp and you do not want a second workspace for support.
  • You want customers to track their own tickets without reaching Suite Professional.
  • A per-agent bill is the line item that keeps growing every time you hire.
